March has certainly come in like a lamb, as the daffodils on Fountain Square demonstrate, and we hope you have enjoyed the mild and spring-like weather the first week provided!
We are happy to offer a full slate of yoga classes this month along with two special events. For a full copy of the schedule, see the calendar section of our website—for highlights, read on!
March highlights:
- Weekly Thursday 4 p.m. class continues. Based on your February attendance and feedback, Heather is continuing to offer the 4 p.m. Thursday Basics class in March.
- Monthly Intro to Yoga class returns. To help folks start or re-start their yoga practice, Angie will offer another free, one-hour class this month. It will meet on Sat., March 12, at 11 a.m. Although this class filled quickly for March, keep an eye on the April schedule for our next offering.
- Yin classes are back for two Fridays. To conclude your week with a meditative Yin yoga class, join us on two Fridays at 5:30 p.m.: Angie teaches on Fri., March 18, and Leslie teaches on Fri., March 25.
- Meditation Made Easy with Danny Brewington takes place on Zoom. We look forward to welcoming Danny Brewington for the next workshop in our meditation series Sat., March 26, at 11 a.m. central. Although the workshops do build on each other, they are also standalone experiences. See the full workshop description below, and use this link to register: tinyurl.com/4yoga-med-made-easy-march .
Winter appears lifeless, cold. But Life is there—invisible and dormant—waiting for the right moment in time, when conditions are appropriate, to manifest. Nature’s creativity springs forth anew each year.
This is the realm of the second chakra. Our consciousness moves from the feeling of unity we experienced in the root chakra, and we begin to move out and relate to the world, using our senses as our guide.
We are asked to let go and flow. We experience relationship—and with relationship, desire emerges, along with our emotions and sexuality.
Join us as we continue the journey through the chakras and the path to enlightenment.
About the workshop leader: Danny is a Tennessee native who discovered meditation in 1987. Now, with over 30 years of study and practice, he enjoys great powers of concentration, breathing control, and expanded awareness. His understanding of meditation comes from a combination of philosophies, technologies, and life experiences. He hopes to inspire others to transform their lives with the power of meditation.
Public health update: To practice ahimsa (non-harming), we welcome vaccinated folks to in-person studio classes. To continue to follow current CDC guidance, we have updated our mask policy: while Warren County remains at the Medium community level for Covid, masks are recommended but no longer required.
