Some of you may already have heard from Cassandra about an exciting new group that she has co-founded, One Dharma Bowling Green. If you haven’t yet heard about this opportunity to practice and study meditation, or if you just want to know more, check out the information below!
One Dharma Bowling Green is an integrative Buddhist meditation and study group founded in 2016 by meditation teachers Cassandra Cantrell, Jeffrey Samuels, and Frank Snyder, who wished to offer a contemporary Buddhist sangha that also maintains its roots in traditional teachings and practices. One Dharma is at the forefront of Western Buddhism, where we have access to all of the great dharma traditions that were once segregated by geography in the East. Each of these traditions, Theravada, Zen and Tibetan, offers teachings and practices such as lovingkindness, compassion, and mindfulness, that can help us realize true freedom in our own lives.
One Dharma BG’s mission is to ensure that the practice of meditation and the joy of awakening are accessible to all who seek it. We encourage diversity and are committed to providing a welcoming and supportive practice refuge to people from all backgrounds.
One Dharma BG meets on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m., upstairs at 561 E. Main Street. Street parking is available.
