October Schedule: 42 classes and 1 Yoga Nidra!

As we move into October, we welcome cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and shorter days. The transition to Autumn also brings in the harvest, reminding us to slow down, rest, and find balance. Yoga provides us with the opportunity to not only slow down and rest, but to also connect back to ourselves and reflect.

In October we are happy to continue to offer yoga in a variety of styles, including Basics, Flow, Gentle, Basics/ Restorative, Yoga Nidra and Beginner (read on for more details). We are also excited to share details about our 15th Anniversary Party on October 18. We would love to see you in October whether it is for yoga, our anniversary party, or both! Everyone is always welcome!

October updates/ upcoming events:

  1. Evening weeknight classes: In October, we continue to offer two weeknight evening classes at 6 p.m. Join Liz for a more vigorous practice with Flow on Mondays or Maria for a mix of movement and meditation with Basics/ Restorative on Wednesdays.
  2. Sunday Yoga Nidra w/ Shigeko: We are pleased to continue offering an in-person Yoga Nidra class in September. Join Shigeko on Sunday, October 11 at 5:30 p.m. and spend 60 minutes being guided into a deeply relaxed state.
  3. 4yoga 15th Anniversary Party: September 27 marked 4yoga’s 15th Anniversary, making us one of the oldest yoga studios in Bowling green, KY! To celebrate, we are inviting everyone to join us on Sunday, October 18th for an open house from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the back lounge at the studio for light refreshments, community, and the chance to win a door prize! Check out the events page on Facebook for more details and to RSVP.
  4. Beginner Yoga Class: Are you new to yoga or looking to return to your yoga practice? Join Maria on Saturday, October 24 at 10:30 a.m. for a 90 minute beginner yoga class. To provide more individualized instruction, this class is pre-registration only and limited to 5 students. To reserve your spot, fill out this form and follow the payment instructions listed. All students must pre-register and pre-pay ($20 per person) no later than Friday, October 23 at 10:30 a.m.
  5. Donation Class to benefit BG Resource Connections Village:  On Thursday, October 29 at 9 a.m. Cheri will offer this month’s donation class. Our donation classes serve our community by providing an option to take a class for free if you need and by supporting a local non-profit organization with 100% of the donations made. This month Cheri selected BG Resource Connections Village to receive donations.
  6. November book club meeting: Join us on Sunday, November 15 at 1:30 p.m. for our quarterly book club meeting, where we will discuss HOW TO NOT KNOW, by journalist Simone Stolzoff. Our book club is a free community event and always welcomes new members. We are happy to see folks whether they practice yoga with us or not. If you have an interest in November’s topic, grab the book, read as much as you want, and come for our chat. For those who prefer borrowing to buying, check out one of the copies available in both a physical copy and e-audiobook from the Warren County Public Library. Please see the Facebook Event page for more details and know that an RSVP helps us plan.

If you have questions about or feedback on our offerings, just drop Angie, Maria, or Uta an email (4yoga.me@gmail.com) or Facebook message or catch up with one of us at a post-class gathering. And, as always, for a full copy of the month’s schedule and descriptions of our class styles, please see the calendar page or pick up a hard copy at the studio.
