We are excited to announce that, in May, our quarterly-esque book club will meet to discuss The Four Agreements-A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel Ruiz. Please join us at the 4yoga studio second floor lounge, if open, or on Alice’s Zoom meeting (information to be posted at a later date).
Participants are encouraged to begin reading the book and practicing the four agreements now, during this unprecedented time of great challenge. Anxiety, fear, grief and overwhelm can cause us to react in ways that are not consistent with how we want to be. The four agreements are simple, but powerful, tools for living a more peaceful life.
“In The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, The Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.”

Alice notes: “Some readers lean deeply into the book on a spiritual level. Others use these agreements as a practical guide for living. Either way, if applied from a place of authenticity, your true nature if you will, The Four Agreements can benefit all of us.”
Alice will facilitate the discussion, and everyone is welcome, regardless of how much or how little of the book you’ve had a chance to read. We look forward to seeing everyone—either in-person or remotely—and discussing the book in May!
The Four Agreements can be purchased online or in stores usually for less than ten dollars. The Warren County Public Library also has copies in both print and digital formats.
