June Schedule: 43 classes, 1 Yoga Nidra, and 1 Beginner Class!

June brings the transition from spring to summer, with warmer temperatures and brighter days ahead. The longest day of the year, June 21, marks the summer solstice symbolizing a time for renewal and illumination. It is also the International Day of Yoga

Yoga provides us with the opportunity for movement, reflection, and renewal. We would love for you to join us in June for one — or many of the 43 yoga classes, 1 Yoga Nidra, and 1 Beginner Yoga class (pre-registration required). Read on below to learn more about this month’s classes and upcoming events.

June updates/ upcoming events:

  1. New Teacher and return of Thursday Gentle classes! We are excited to welcome a new teacher on the June schedule. Cheri Mahoney will begin teaching Gentle Yoga every Thursday at 9 a.m. Please note Cheri has a planned vacation the month of July so while this class will not be on July’s schedule, the Thursday Gentle classes will resume in August when she returns.
  2. Wednesday Flow classes: We are pleased that the 9am Wednesday Flow class is back on the schedule for June – with the exception of 6/10.  Several teachers’ summer work schedules made this possible.
  3. Sunday Yoga nidra with Angie! We are pleased to continue to offer a yoga nidra this month. Join Angie on Sun., June 7 at 5:30 p.m. and spend 60 minutes being guided into a deeply relaxed state.
  4. Donation Class to benefit Refuge Bowling Green: On Sat., June 20 at 9 a.m. Carmen will offer this month’s donation class. Our donation classes serve our community by providing an opportunity for folks to take a class without paying a fee (donations are entirely optional) and supporting a local non-profit organization with 100% of the donations made. Carmen has selected Refuge BGto receive donations!
  5. Beginner Yoga Class: Are you new to yoga or looking to return to your yoga practice? Join Maria on June 28th at 1:30 p.m. for a 90 minute beginner yoga class. In order to provide more individualized instruction, this class is pre-registration only and limited to 5 students. To reserve your spot, fill out this form and follow the payment instructions listed. All students must pre-register and pre-pay ($20 per person) no later than Sat., June 27 at 1:30 p.m.
  6. August book club meeting: Join us on Sunday, August 9 at 1:30 p.m. for our quarterly book club meeting, where we will discuss THE CHOICE: EMBRACE THE POSSIBLE, a memoir by Dr. Edith Eva Eger. Our book club is a free community event and always welcomes new members. We are happy to see folks whether they practice yoga with us or not. If you have an interest in August’s topic, grab the book, read as much as you want, and come for our chat. For those who prefer borrowing to buying, check out one of the copies available from the Warren County Public Library. Please see the Facebook event page for more details and know that an RSVP helps us plan.
  7. June Class hiatuses: Starting in June Sunday Restorative classes will be on hiatus due to low attendance.

If you have questions about or feedback on our offerings, just drop Angie, Maria, or Uta an email (4yoga.me@gmail.com) or Facebook message or catch up with one of us at a post-class gathering. And, as always, for a full copy of the month’s schedule and descriptions of our class styles, please see the calendar page or pick up a hard copy at the studio.
